Blue Irises are fairly common with many varieties. I did not intend to paint the Van Zyverden Iris Bearded Full Tide but was amazed at its similarity. The Meridian, Mississippi web-site has some great pictures of bulb flowers. This flower is a PRECIOUS TREAT when it blooms!
The iris symbolizes faith, hope, and wisdom, representing the strength to believe in brighter days ahead. It is the February birth flower.
